Back to june 2001... Coming from differents countries, old friends created what was growing in their minds since a long time. "Les Fanfoireux", the unexpected brassband was finally lined up. Their first concert, in front of the European parliament (Brussels) during the well-known Plein Open Air festival by Cinema Nova rushed them in a musical storm...

56 travels around the world later, vans broken and weared out shoes, les Fanfoireux are finally back to Brussels, ready to unpack their luggages and mixed sounds. Positive energy and happiness among them often achieve miracles on gigs and travels around Belgium and abroad.

As a program : a fuzzy maracatu (brasilian folk music), a pretty schizophrenic waltz, a dash of techno surrounded by a celestial clarinet, african pulses, raging ska's and, last but not least, the famous "balkanic samba".

As a street band they radically transform the so-called "public space", by peacefully re-organizing the chaos. Their atypic style shakes bodies and minds.

Their motto : "freedom and happiness". It's all about singing life's poetry !!!

Their musical influences take their origins in the four corners of the world : Cape Verde, Brasil, Eastern Europa, Jamaica, Africa, Middle East and of course, Belgium (covers and original compositions).
